Playermon — the next Play to Earn gem?

Today we will be reviewing why we, at Atesis Capital, believe Playermon to be one of the most promising play to earn gaming projects of 2021.

1. Concept

Playermon, built on Polygon for low gas fees and fast transactions, aims to be accessible to everyone with low entry costs and provides players, creators and investors with the ability to generate income based on creativity and, what Playermon team calls it, “Playformance”.

Playermon’s concept is genius in a simple way — purchase a playermon (egg before the chicken) in Non-Fungible Token form, evolve to gain strength, and battle, in a turn based card gameplay, with an opponent in The Tower of Creator through a balanced and fair fight to earn an in-game token, $SGEM, which can be used to further upgrade and acquire in-game items, as well as playermon experience for levelling up.

The team’s mission is to create a social, creative metaverse where, through gaming, the players can experience:

1. Immersive storytelling that provides exciting experiences
2. Strategizing and battling against one another
3. Colonising planets to harvest resources
4. Breeding new playermons with better/rarer statistics
5. Metaverse space that can provide income

An in-game marketplace, Radix, will spoil players with the following features carefully implemented into the game:

1. Lease playermons (scholarship)
2. Trade playermons
3. Purchase eggs (playermons)
4. Purchase blind boxes (we like a bit of mystery!)
5. Purchase in-game items for crafting
6. Purchase seasonal limited items
7. Purchase planets (nice twist!)

After purchasing and incubating eggs in SpaceDen, the players will be given daily tasks, such as brushing, bathing and feeding in order to raise their playermon level and get them ready for battling, along the way earning “love points”, which will be advantageous post game release.

2. Roadmap

Ahead of a Token Generation Event on 20th of November 2021, the team has put together an amazing Roadmap on their website, playermon.com. The takeaway from the roadmap is that most importantly, the team is on track!

We can see that Seed and Private sales have been filled, along with pre-IDO for most committed members (yes, the project genuinely looks after early supporters!), and we are on track for launchpad release on the 18/19th of November 2021, which will see plenty of attention being hosted on none other than Polkabridge, Enjinstarter and OxBull.

The team has already locked in dates for CEX listing, egg sale, SpaceDen launch, Anchorland (more about that in the white paper below!) launch, story mode expansion, Tower of Creator launch, planet gameplay development, Radix launch and further planet mechanics. Love to see it!

Another crucial factor to consider is the game launch on 22nd of December 2021. We will actually be able to enjoy the game, putting our $PYM & $SGEM tokens to use.

3. Team & Supporters

It is no secret that any project must be run by an experienced team, along with backing from the big boys. This project definitely does not fall short of great people on board.

The Playermon team consists of 20 people, who have experience in relevant fields:

• CEO & Co-Founders have experience in blockchain development, 3D NFT art and running successful companies, such as Wonderbucks, TriveAcademy, Mediasoft Sdn Bhd and Havson Group Berhad
• Advisors include Altcoin Buzz, X21 Digital and others with decades of AAA title development experience
• Chief Growth Officer brings decades of knowledge in Business Development, having plenty of experience under his belt
• Artists include individuals that are closely associated with Splinterlands, Street Fighter V, Agents of Mayhem, as well as other AAA titles
• Marketing team is made up of YouTubers, Axie2u guild founder, as well as individuals with decades of experience to back the team
